Believing is knowing.

believe (verb) to have confidence in the truth, the existence, or the reliability of something, although without absolute proof that one is right in doing so: Only if one believes in something can one act purposefully.

It’s difficult to make change without believing that change can happen. But belief is born for purpose. And you can’t always have purpose without a vision for the future. Belief feeds your vision. Your vision strengthens your belief.

A vision is born of belief and hope – belief as more than a feeling, but a knowing. A confidence in the truth.

Is your faith like a knowing or it a just a hopeful maybe?

“Had ye but faith you could move mountains.” Jesus said.

Perhaps there are no mountains to be moved today. But some obstacles in the way of true believing in yourself, in your vision, and perhaps even the true strength of God – work, relationships, career goals, school, parenthood, politics, people (shall I continue?) – are often tools He uses to help us learn, grow, reexamine our path and tweak our vision we had once had for the future. Now, I believe that.

“For I KNOW the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  – Jeremiah 29:11
