Tea steeps –

Steamy water absorbing leaves.

tea

Infusing flowers, plants and buds…

In one hot cup

Of momentary joy

Lost in warmth

In the subtle taste of

today.

When I speak,

it’s slowly… words drip. Drop –

As I’m heard across the table.

A thoughtful look.

A squeeze of a hand.

A gentle nod.

A whispered “Yes.”

long days

bound up with pomegranate.

stress

relaxed with green leaves.

Healing hope.

And still, it’s there…

Where palms press ceramic heat

from mugs filled

with love and hot tea.
