This blog entry above is not my writing, but I thought this was a great post and topic to share so I’m reposting this and taking a personal break from blogging today!

It is never easy or pleasant dealing with or confronting negative behaviors or dynamics in relationships. It helps to know and remember that all understanding is a two-way street and peace-making in any situation ought to take mutual effort.

However, this is not always the reality. More often than not, the effort and advances at peace can often fall on one party, turning the situation into a “you against me” or “black or white” state of being when there is push-back from another side. This creates a vicious cycle that is tough to break, especially if only one person is seeking resolution and working to make peace and reach greater understanding.

5 Simple Tips How To Deal With Negative People.

Romans 12:18

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

This verse reminds that peace-making and seeking understanding is a duty of every Christian, however, we still have our limits as human beings. “As far as it depends on you” means taking responsibility for your part in the conflict and/or misunderstanding and then doing what you can to reconcile or heal the situation. We cannot do more beyond that. Let go and let God.
